Questions

Everything people ask first.

Is this a dating app for business?

No. The swipe is a triage tool, not a matching game — it exists because reading 60 attendee profiles as a list is a chore, and because a considered shortlist beats a scattergun. There is no mutual-match requirement, no chat until someone accepts an intent-led nudge, and no way to see who passed on you.

What actually happens if I skip someone?

Nothing they will ever see. Skip marks are stored against your account only, and every API and screen is built so the other person cannot learn they were skipped. It is never labelled a rejection, and it doesn't stop them nudging you.

Why cap the number of nudges?

Because unlimited outreach is what ruined the last network you left. Scarcity does the work: if you only have a few, you spend them on people you genuinely want to meet, and receiving one means something. One nudge per person per event, and the window closes when the event ends.

I run events. What do my delegates actually get?

Premium Delegate Access for your event: the whole room instead of the 30% a free account sees, 2 nudges and 2 post-event connection requests, and access that opens 14 days before the event and stays open for 7 days after so the follow-up actually happens. The allowances are the same as the free tier — what changes is that your delegates can see who they're spending them on. It covers the room and nothing else; Projects and verified introductions stay with Premium Membership. You grant it in one action after uploading your list, and any of your delegates who are already Premium Members simply keep what they have.

What does the free plan actually show me?

A real slice, not a locked door. You can browse 30% of the Rooms on the platform, and in any Room you join you'll see 30% of the people going — enough to judge whether the room is worth your evening. You get 2 nudges per event, and a thread on every one that's accepted. Premium opens every free event in full; a paid event opens in full once you've paid to attend it. And if an organiser adds you to their delegate list, that room opens completely at no cost to you — your 2 nudges stay 2, but you can finally see everyone you might spend them on.

I run events. What does it cost me?

Nothing. Listing events, uploading your delegate list, granting Premium Delegate Access and reading the analytics are all free, with no per-event fee, no allowance to run out and no subscription behind the numbers. There's no trial to expire either — you're not being eased onto a paid plan later. The only thing anyone pays for on The Gantry is Premium Membership, and that's the attendee's choice, not yours.

What do I get to see as an organiser?

Aggregate outcomes: RSVPs, verified attendance from QR check-in, nudges sent and accepted, connections made afterwards, repeat attendance across your events, and a funnel from uploaded delegate to introduction made. You never see message contents or attendee email addresses — that boundary isn't negotiable, and it's what makes delegates comfortable using it at your event.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The Gantry is a progressive web app — it runs in the browser and installs to your home screen if you want it there. It's designed thumb-first for the walk from the car park, and it works on a desktop too.

What about my data?

Your profile is visible to people in Rooms you've said you're going to, and on a public profile link only if you create one. Your shortlist, your skips and your saved Rooms are private to you. Times are always shown in UK time with the right GMT or BST suffix, because a 7pm event should say 7pm.
