Manufacturing and industrial networking

How these rooms actually run

Factory tours, supply chain days and trade body events do most of the work, and a surprising amount of the real conversation happens while walking around somebody’s shop floor. Buyers are technical, sales cycles are long, and a first meeting is rarely expected to produce anything quickly. Regional clusters are strong and long-established.

What to do before you go

Understand where a business sits in its supply chain before you talk to it, because "manufacturing" covers a tier one automotive supplier and a twelve-person fabrication shop and they have nothing to say to each other. Knowing what somebody actually makes is the whole of the preparation.

Rooms on The Gantry open 14 days ahead, and each attendee profile leads with what that person is working on now and what they will happily be asked about. On the free tier you see 30% of a room, which is enough to judge whether the mix matches the invitation; if an organiser has added you to their delegate list, all of it opens at no cost.
