Recruiters work rooms professionally, because the job genuinely is relationships, and they are often the people funding the drinks at somebody else’s event. Within the sector, events cluster around talent, employment practice and the changing shape of work, and they are candid in a way outsiders rarely see. Outside it, a room with too many recruiters in it stops working for everyone including the recruiters.

What to do before you go
